Running sessions actively promoting uptake of cancer screening across diverse communities in libraries, mosques, churches, community centres and schools. Increasing health literacy alongside self management techniques such as action planning.
Key findings
Knowledge of importance of screening is low. Misinformation about screening, particularly bowel screening. Communities are motivated to look after therir own health and need health literacy delivered in accessible formats.
