Summary
Health Literacy sessions aimed at increasing knowledge and confidence amongst women who don't attend screening appointments. By creating safe spaces in community settings, communities shared the barriers to accessing screening and explored mitigations and ways to increase confidence to attend appointments.
Key findings
The prevention and Screening agenda has not effectively communicated the benefits of attending screening. Cultural, language and literacy barriers persist in the poorest communities.
