Transforming Climate & Health research through community leadership

How collaboration between academics, researchers and community-led research can shift power back to the people most affected by climate change.

Transforming Climate & Health research through community leadership

The challenge

The communities most impacted by the affects of climate change are excluded from the policy, research and decision making conversations. Together with UCL, we are disrupting the narrative by creating space and discourse to explore alternative ways of being.

What we did

Our community researchers held conversations across east London surfacing the real concerns of climate and health. We then co-designed panel conversation on 16th July at UCL East. Starting in the Autumn 2026 we will facilitated a series of community-of-practice workshops designed to support us all to think deeply about a range of themes emerging in this space.

The outcome

Community-of-practice that is multi-disciplinary with community participation and leadership at the heart.
